Submission guidelines complete working paper

Final working paper submission for oral presentation at the 15th ISIR Summer School must be submitted through the form below by 30th July 2021. Presentation and inclusion of the final paper in the summer school programme is subject to registration by 30th June 2021 to attend the summer school.

One of the core ideas behind the summer school is to aid in the preparation of the working papers to eventually be submitted to a scientific journal. If you already have a target journal, prepare the submission using their guidelines. Otherwise, please consider the following guidelines:

Note that the style of your working paper should make it easy for the referees to add hand-written comments on the printout of your paper.

Language:
All papers must be written in good English (American or British usage is accepted as long as it’s consistent throughout the article). Please proof read carefully your own article.

Page extent: 
The article should be in between 20 and 35 pages in length, including abstract, figures, tables, and appendices.

Text format:
The text should be single column, the font size no more than 14pt, and spacing no larger than double line spacing.

References:
Any common citation style is accepted as long as it’s consistent throughout the article (e.g. APA, MLA, etc.).

Article structure: 
The structure should be easy to follow. Sections clearly defined and numbered, with headings on separate lines. Please include the following sections: .

  • Title of the paper, name(s) of the author(s), affiliation(s)

  • Abstract

  • Keywords

  • Main subject text

  • Acknowledgments (when applicable)

  • References

  • Appendices (if necessary)

Before submitting, please name your document as “ISIR2021_Yoursurname.pdf”. All papers should be submitted as a PDF document through the form below, please do not submit Word documents (.doc, .docx).
